At Hopeful Star Kennel, we raise Rhodesian Ridgebacks with love, care, and a deep commitment to the breed.
For us, breeding is not merely a hobby, but a responsible mission carried out with great care and thoughtful consideration. Our goal is to raise dogs that are healthy, mentally balanced, and embody the noblest qualities of the breed. At our kennel in Hungary, puppies grow up in a family environment so they can become happy, confident companions—whether as beloved family members or future show stars.

Our story...
My love for the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed began in my childhood. I was four years old when I received my first Ridgeback, Butch, and an immediate, deep bond formed between us.
He gave me a lifelong experience—it was truly wonderful to grow up alongside such an amazing breed. Butch watched over me with great devotion and played with me with endless patience. Throughout his life, he taught me compassion and unconditional love.
Our entire family shares a deep love for and commitment to dogs, so when our first pedigree Rhodesian Ridgeback, Morpheus, joined us, we decided to step into the world of dog shows. From that point on, there was no stopping us. Competing led to the desire for a meticulous study of the breed, followed by thorough understanding, and an ever-deepening admiration for these remarkable dogs.
Six years after our first show, we founded Hopeful Star Kennel.
